About the Role
Welder The City of Baltimore offers limitless opportunities to help drive social impact, both on the job and in the
community, while serving its citizens. A welder applies heat to metal pieces to melt, fuse and then form a permanent
bond. Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Work is performed in a repair shop where there
is exposure to welding torches, gases, fumes and dust. On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate
must: Education: Have graduated from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate Experience: Have three
years of experience in welding work. Equivalency Notes: Have six months of additional experience in welding work may be
